Animal Sound Show

This is a fun, interactive baby game which will develop your baby's language development and memory. It is also a great social activity between you and your baby. You will need some stuffed animals or large colorful pictures of animals.

Sit your on the floor or bed facing you and make sure there are no other distractions. It may be more convenient to sit him in a baby seat. Hold up a stuffed animal or picture and imitate the animal's sound, making sure that your baby can see your mouth. Wait a few seconds, then repeat the sound again. Continue with the animal show.

As your baby becomes more accustomed to the game, give him a chance to imitate the animal sounds as well during your sound show. He may eventually start to antipate and make the sound as you show each animal.

A similar variation is to name the animal (like the Name This baby game) during the show. This is usually more appropriate as he gets older and can distinguish between sounds and names.
