Baby Pony Rides
This is a classic baby game that most parents play in some fashion or another. It will help your baby enhance her balance skills and well as motor control. Be sure your baby can control her neck and muscles before doing this activity.
Sit on a chair or couch with your baby. Seat her on your knee and thigh towards you, also supporting her under the armpits with your hands. Gently bounce your knee up and down for a simple pony ride - also sing a song or rhyme to go with the ride (Yankee Doodle or the Bonanza theme song are popular!). As your baby gains better balance skills, you can face her outwards as well.
A popular variation for the dads and baby sons is to do outward facing "motorcycle" rides instead. Be sure to not bounce to roughly!
