Roll Around

Once your baby is able to roll, she will need to exercise that function to build her core strength in order to crawl. She will likely be able to roll from her back to tummy first. Continue to encourage your baby to roll to build up her strength.

Many babies love to roll so it is simply a matter of providing space on the floor. You can lie on the floor then call her to you. For those babies that need additional incentive, a favorite toy placed across the room often does the trick. Many babies are very interested in mom or dad's items, like a water bottle or television remote. Finally, you can always get on the floor and roll around with her!

Be sure to keep a close eye on your baby. Many learn to only roll one way and can become stuck against a wall or object!
