Memory Shell Game

This baby game is the honest version of the "shell game" you often see played by street artists in big cities. You want to start building your baby's memory and this is a great introductory game. You will need three cups and small ball or "pea".

Show your baby the ball then cover it under one of the cups. Make sure your baby sees which cup you hide the ball under. Next, encourage your baby to grab or tap the cup with hidden ball with a congratulatory "You found it!"

As your baby becomes more adept, you can try moving the ball to a different cup. Do not be discouraged if it takes a while for your baby to get a hang of this game, the concept of object permanence takes time to grasp.
