Some babies will really love this game once they have enough upper body strength to push up from their tummy, usually around 5-6 months. This baby game does require a cylindrical pillow or bolster about 8-10 inches in diameter. Avoid using uncovered foam cylinders as pieces can break off that your baby may put in his mouth. Rolling up a large beach towel then tying it often works well.
On a soft carpet, place your baby chest down on the bolster, almost like Tummytime on a nursing pillow. First see if he tries to push himself forward or rock back and forth. Next, hold your baby's feet in the air (like a wheelbarrow) to see if that encourages him.
Closely watch your baby, especially if he steamrolls forward too fast! Some babies move too fast and can fall forward on their face.
